IRS Tax Payments
Use this link to make Federal Tax Payments. Be sure to select the correct reason for payment (usually "Estimated Tax" or "Tax Return or Notice"), the Type (usually "1040, 1040A, 1040EZ"), and Tax Period for Payment (be sure to select the tax year the payment is related to, not the year that you are making the payment in - for example if you are making a payment in April 2022 for your 2021 return, make sure you select 2021). NOTE: If filing jointly, please make payment using the SSN of the taxpayer that shows up first on your return.
AZ Tax Payments
Use this link to make Arizona Income Tax Payments.
Under Payment Type, select either 140ES for estimated taxes, 140V for tax return payments, or 204 for extension payments, select your filing status, and then fill out the requested information.
Follow the steps to make payment. Be sure to select the tax year that you are making payments for, not the year you are making a payment in (for example, a payment in January 2022 is likely for tax year 2021).
CA Tax Payments
Use this link to make California Income Tax Payments.
Under Payment options, choose your payment method (bank account does not carry a fee but other options do). Follow the steps to make payment. Be sure to select the tax year that you are making payments for, not the year you are making a payment in (for example, a payment in January 2022 is likely for tax year 2021).
GA Tax Payments
Use this link to make Georgia Income Tax Payments.
Note, you do NOT need to create an account. You can scroll down and in the third box called 'Tasks' you will see a link to 'Make a Quick Payment'. Follow the prompts, selecting 'No' for if you have a payment number (unless you have received a notice with a payment number on it from Georgia). Make sure to select the tax year for which you are making the payment, not the year you are making the payment in.
MA Tax Payments
Use this link to make Massachusetts Income Tax Payments. You do NOT need to create an account, though you can if you want. If you don't make an account, scroll down and in the first box, click 'Make a Payment' and follow the prompts. Make sure to select the year for which you are paying for.
MD Tax Payments
Use this link to make Maryland Income Tax Payments.
If this is your first time using the site, you will need to create an account. Click 'Register' or login with your previous login details.
For new registrations, enter your personal information to create an account. When asked for Registration Type, you can choose the last option, "I do not know my Federal Adjusted Gross Income". A new registration will show up that asks you to mail something in but you don't need to do that step. Click the "return to the interactive Web services" link above the words "Individual User Registration" to return to the main menu.
For tax return payments, click 'Pay a Bill Online' and then 'Make a payment via electronic funds withdrawal'. Note, if this is your first time filing in MD, you will not be able to make payment until the return is e-filed and processed by MD.
For estimated tax payments, click 'Make a personal estimated payment - Form PV, select the correct tax year, fill out the required information and make payments.
MI Tax Payments
Use this link to make Michigan Income Tax Payments.
Note, if this is your first time filing a Michigan return, you may need to wait a few days to make payment until your return has been processed.
Enter in the info requested and click Next. If MI has info on file then you should be able to proceed to the next screen. On the next screen, fill out the requested information. Under Payment type choose either MI 1040 for return payments or the appropriate estimated payment for quarterly estimates.
Note that credit card and debit card payments carry a fee but bank account payments should be free.
NC Tax Payments
Use this link to make North Carolina income tax payments.
Go to this link and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Under 'Commonly Filed Taxes', click the link for the payment you are making (Individual Income Tax Original = Return payment). Enter your contact info, click next, and go through the steps of making payment. Payments via your bank account do not carry a charge, but credit and debit cards do carry a processing fee. Save proof of your payment.
NJ Tax Payments
Use this link to make New Jersey Income Tax Payments.
Enter your SSN and date of birth. Note, if this is your first time filing or paying a NJ tax, you will not be able to enter the system until your return has been processed. So if you are close to the due date, I recommend you mail a check instead of potentially waiting for after the due date to pay.
Follow the steps to make payment. Be sure to select the tax year that you are making payments for, not the year you are making a payment in (for example, a payment in January 2022 is likely for tax year 2021).
NY Tax Payments
Use this link to make New York State Income Tax Payments.
You need to create an account on the Department of Taxation and Finance's website. Go to the link and scroll down to 'Log In' or 'Create an Account'. Once you have an account, go to 'Payments, bills and notices' on the left-hand menu, select 'Make a Payment' from the drop-down.
You can pay with a bank account (no fee) or credit card (fee applies).
Be sure to select the correct payment type - estimate, return, or extension - and tax year.
OH Tax Payment
Use this link to make Ohio Income Tax Payments. You must create an account in order to make payments. Once an account is created, go to "Online Services" on the left side of the page and select "View/Make Payments". Click the "View/Make Payments" button and then under "Available services in the middle of the page, click "Make an electronic payment". Be sure to select the correct tax year and payment type.
PA Tax Payments
Use this link to make Pennsylvania Income Tax Payments.
Under Payments, go to "Make a Payment", "Make a Return Payment", and then fill out the applicable information. Be sure to select the correct tax year and account type (usually "Personal Income Tax").
NOTE: If filing jointly, please make payment using the SSN of the taxpayer that shows up first on your return.
RITA (Ohio Regional Income Tax Agency) Tax Payment
Use this link to make Ohio Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) Tax Payments. You must create an account in order to make payments. Once an account is created, go to "Make a Payment / View Account Balance" on the left side of the page. Select "Make a Payment" and follow the steps.
WI Tax Payments
Use this link to make Wisconsin Income Tax Payments.
Select Individual Income Tax.
Select payment type (either Return payment for current year returns we are filing or Estimated Payment if making an estimate for next year).
Enter in the tax year for which you are filing the return, NOT the year in which you are making the payment.
WV Tax Payments
Use this link to make West Virginia tax payments. On the right side of the page under 'Individual Quick Links' click either the 'Pay Personal Income Tax' or 'Pay Estimated Personal Income Tax' depending on what type of payment you are making. Follow the steps to make payment. Note if you are a new taxpayer in WV, you may need to verify your identify with additional information, or wait for your return to be processed.
